Visiting Beyt Dwarka

Beyt Dwarka (also written Bet Dwarka) is an island in the Gulf of Kutch, just off Okha in Devbhumi Dwarka district, Gujarat. It is about 30 km north of Dwarka town and is known for the Dwarkadhish (Krishna) temple, Padam Beach and dolphin sightings.

Drive or take a taxi to Okha and cross the Sudarshan Setu bridge to the island. The nearest railway stations are Okha and Dwarka, and the nearest airports are Jamnagar and Porbandar. See our How to Reach Beyt Dwarka guide for distances and routes.

October to March is the best time: the weather is pleasant and the sea is calm for dolphin safari, boating and water sports. Summer (April to June) is hot, and during the monsoon (June to September) sea activities can be suspended because of rough sea.

Dolphins are wild animals, so sightings are common but cannot be guaranteed. The Dolphin Safari is a 45-minute boat ride at ₹1200 per person incl. GST, or ₹20000 for a private boat for up to 30 guests.
